The Eighth additional protocol to
the constitution of the Universal Postal Union specifies definitions of the
term ‘freedom of transit´, defines such terms as ‘incumbent operator´ and ‘note
of admonition.´
The Protocol supplements clauses of the Constitution of the Universal Postal Union: "Exclusive Dealing"; "Regional Unions. Specific Arrangements"; "Accession or Admission to the Union. Procedure"; "Acts of the Union"; "Signing, authentication, ratification and other forms of adoption of the Acts of the Union"; "Submission of Motions"; "Arbitral Clause." The Committee members are convinced that ratification of the above-mentioned Protocol shall facilitate formation of the legal principles of the development of the postal sector and protection of interests of Ukraine in the framework of the Universal Postal Union.
